Senefoods began as a family-owned business in 2018 in Mulang Bamenda, Cameroon. Founded by Asangana Monica Sene, the company started modestly in a home garage, where mint and other herbal leaves were carefully dried and blended into herbal teas. What began as a small household initiative was driven by a deep respect for natural ingredients, traditional knowledge, and quality food production.

The business took a significant step forward with the introduction of Fufurina. Fufurina has since grown to become Senefoods’ flagship product, combining scientific expertise with cultural heritage to meet modern food standards.

Building on this success, Senefoods expanded into other cassava-based products such as gari and cassava starch, adopting a resource-efficient approach that maximizes raw material use, minimizes waste, and strengthens the sustainability of its production processes.

To support growing demand, Senefoods later established a dedicated production site in Mile 15, Buea, where operations continue today with the addition of new products. From Cameroon, the company now ships its products internationally, including to the United States, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, with plans to expand further across Africa in the near future.
